Unless your name is Pete DArruda, please do not try this at home. According to an article recently posted on Yahoos Finance page, Pete DArruda has more than $300,000 in available credit with 25 different credit cards. DArruda makes charges on only five cards at any given time and fully pays them off each month. He does this to keep his credit score over an 800 rating.

DArruda, a personal finance consultant in Carey, North Carolina, has been building his credit score for five years. He has authored three personal finance books and is founder of the Capital Financial Advisory Group in Carey.

Dodgers Team Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

According to the Associated Press, the Los Angeles Dodger filed for bankruptcy protection Monday morning in a Delaware Court. The Dodgers contend that Major League Baseball league is to blame for not approving a multi-billion dollar television deal. This deal apparently was needed to keep the Dodgers team solvent.

The Dodgers television deal was supposed to be with Fox Sports and was worth up to $3 billion, but baseball Commissioner Bud Selig refused to approve the deal. This refusal left McCourt cash-strapped and the Dodgers may have been unable to make payroll this week. Full Post…
